Seekonk - Isabel Maria (Medeiros) Amaral, 65, affectionately known as Isabel, departed this life on May 2, 2025, at her home in Seekonk, Massachusetts, surrounded by the warmth of her loving family. Born on July 25, 1959, in the picturesque town of Povoacao, Sao Miguel, Azores, Isabel's journey brought her to the United States, living in East Providence, until moving to Seekonk where she became a cherished member of the community since 1989.
Isabel was the beloved wife of Antonio Amaral, her steadfast companion for over 52 years, with whom she shared a devoted marriage of 47 years. Their enduring love story was a testament to their unwavering commitment to each other and their family. Isabel was the cherished daughter of the late Carlos and Maria Conceicao (Serodio) Medeiros, and she carried the legacy of her parents' love and values throughout her life.
A dedicated and loving mother, Isabel is survived by her children, Kevin Amaral and his wife Brittany of Seekonk, MA, Jason Amaral of East Providence, and Tanya Amaral-Medina and her husband Levi of Seekonk, MA. She instilled in them the virtues of kindness and faith, and her guidance was a compass for their lives. Isabel's role as a sister was fulfilled with grace, as she is also survived by her brother Joao Medeiros and his wife Lucie of Fall River, MA, and her sister Maria Ines Amaral, who was preceded in death by her husband Carlos of East Providence.
Her legacy further blooms in the lives of her grandchildren Lilliana, Isabella, Jason Jr., Marcus Amaral, and Zara Medina, who will carry forward the light of her love and the joy of her spirit. Isabel also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, who will continue to cherish the memories of her loving presence.
Together with her husband Antonio, Isabel was the co-owner of Dynasty Gunite Pools, where her hard work and dedication contributed to the success of their family business. She was a respected and active member of her community, exemplified by her long-standing devotion to St. Francis Xavier Church as a dedicated parishioner.
Isabel's interests painted the picture of a life rich with joy and engagement. She relished the opportunity to travel, especially enjoying the winters spent in her Florida home. Her love for gardening allowed her to cultivate beauty both in her surroundings and in her soul. Isabel was also actively involved with the Holy Ghost Feast, contributing to a tradition that held great significance for her and her community.
Known for her exceptional culinary skills, Isabel's cooking brought people together, creating moments to savor and memories to last a lifetime. Above all, her family and friends were her greatest treasure. The time she spent with them, the love she shared, and the values she upheld, were the true reflections of Isabel's priorities in life.
Described by those who knew her as loving, kind, and faith-filled, Isabel's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of the human spirit. Her warmth and generosity touched many lives, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the fortune of knowing her.
Isabel's life will be celebrated with love and remembered with joy by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the stars continue to shine even after they have faded from view. Isabel's journey on earth may have come to a close, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
