Isabel Arroyo Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 21, 2024.
Isabel "Izzy" Arroyo, a beacon of light whose laughter echoed through the hearts of those who knew her, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 21st, at UMDNJ University Hospital in Newark. Born in San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, Isabel fulfilled her dream of retiring near the beach in Ocean Grove, where she spent many joyful years surrounded by the serenity of the ocean.
Throughout her life, Isabel embraced every moment with unwavering enthusiasm and a zest for life that was truly infectious. As a project manager at Middle Atlantic Products, she exhibited dedication and excellence, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path. Yet, it was her love for nature and sports that truly defined her spirit. From leisurely bike rides to cheering on her beloved New York Yankees, Isabel found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Above all, Isabel cherished the art of sharing her life and experiences with everyone she met. Her warmth and kindness knew no bounds, and she touched the lives of many with her genuine compassion and unwavering friendship.
Isabel leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by her dear family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Isabel (Soto), and stepfather, Gumersindo Gonzalez; her siblings Cirila "Irma" Velez and her husband Felix, Sue Arroyo, Juan Arroyo Jr., Ivan Arroyo, Luis Mendez, Marilyn Arroyo, Carlos Arroyo, and Edwin Arroyo; her niece Brenda Ramos; her nephews Anthony Velez, Edward Velez, David Corujo, and Brian Corujo; along with their families, who were all touched by her love and presence.
As we bid farewell to Isabel "Izzy" Arroyo, let us carry forward her legacy of love and joy, finding solace in the memories we shared and the light she brought into our lives. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her spirit will forever shine brightly in our hearts, a reminder of the beauty of a life well-lived and the power of love to transcend all boundaries. Rest in peace, dear Izzy. You will be deeply missed, but your memory will forever be cherished.
We will begin to leave on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 9:15 am from the GUSTAV J. NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 419 Barclay Street Perth Amboy for a Funeral Mass at the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish at La Asuncion Church at 10 am. Burial will be at Alpine Cemetery.

I worked with Isabel for many years and the thing I remember most about Isabel is how her smile would light up a room! She was hard working, so caring about her employees and so very kind. Will miss her, may she rest in peace
