Isabel Ellen Bumbaugh

Isabel Bumbaugh, 94, of Fahrney-Keedy Senior Living Community and formerly of Maugansville, MD, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025.
Born November 27, 1930, in Coseytown, PA, she was the daughter of the late David and Rhoda (Diller) Martin. She was born and raised a farm girl and enjoyed sharing memories of her family and all the hard work and fun times they had growing up. She was brought up in a loving Christian home and her faith carried through 94 years to her final breath. This was when faith became sight. She was a member of Living Word Community Church in Greencastle, PA.
She was preceded in death by Marty, her beloved husband of 70 years. They were married February 24, 1951, in Coseytown, PA. She worked part-time for many years at Maugansville Lumber Company and Best Building Products. But her primary and greatest joy in life was being a homemaker for her family.
She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing great meals and desserts for her family and friends. Holidays were her favorite, when family was together. She left all of us with many great memories of being at her table.
She treasured and loved her family. She is survived by four children, Deborah (Peter) Bumbaugh Segall, Nancy (Richard) Griffith, Beth (Mel) Chupp, and Chris (Amy) Bumbaugh; six grandchildren, Allison Hartshorn, Adam Chupp, Ashley Eshleman, Aaron Bumbaugh, Jacob Bumbaugh, and Raegan Bumbaugh; nine great grandsons, Ezra, Isaiah, Josiah, Noah, Luke, John, Levi, Caleb, Rhett and one great granddaughter Sophie.
She is survived by her sister Lovina Baer and brother Warren Martin and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers Nelson Martin and Elwood Martin, and sisters Vera Kuhns, Wilma Martin, and Elva Stouffer.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 28, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. N. Hagerstown, MD. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1st at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences can be expressed at www.douglasfiery.com
