Isabel Pupino Obituary
AUSTINTOWN - Isabel A. Pupino, born on September 23, 1938, in Youngstown, OH, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024, at the age of 86.
A devoted homemaker and loving mother, Isabel’s life was characterized by her unwavering commitment to her family. She graduated from Chaney High School in 1956 and worked as a hairdresser before dedicating herself full-time to her family and home.
She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, finding joy in the simple moments shared with her family. Isabel was also known for her vibrant social life, enjoying gatherings with her high school classmates and participating in her card club. An avid Pittsburgh sports fan, she supported her teams with passion. Additionally, she found delight in trips to the casino, loved listening to music, and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her children, Rhonda (Greg) McAllister and Glenn (Loretta) Pupino both of Austintown; three grandchildren, Ryan (Tara) McAllister, Sara (Nate) Garwood, and Nikia (Tyler) Shaffer; five great grandchildren, Ronan McAllister, Ezra and Magnolia Garwood, Colt and Wesson Shaffer. After her husband passed, she shared her home with her dear cousin, Patty Collins, filling that loneliness along with her companionship with her dog, Barry; and she also left numerous nieces and nephews.
Isabel was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pupino in 2018; her parents, Raymond and Italia Popio Sabino; a sister, Rae Babos; and a brother, Louis Sabino.
Prayers will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 at 9:15 AM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mt. Carmel Ave. Youngstown, Ohio 44505.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during calling hours at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 4303 Mahoning Ave., on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 5 to 7p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, Ohio 44514 or Friends of Fido, friendsoffidomahoning.org.
