Isabel Ramos, lovingly known as Isa, age 87, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, at her residence in Bridgeport, CT, surrounded by the love of her family.
Isabel was born on June 13, 1938, in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, to the late Monserrate Arroyo and Sotero Ramos. She was raised in Puerto Rico alongside her siblings and carried those strong family values with her throughout her life. In 1960, Isabel relocated to Connecticut, where she built a life centered on love, dedication, and family.Isabel was deeply family-oriented and found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved.
She was known for her warm heart, nurturing spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. A gifted and passionate cook, Isabel expressed her love through her meals, always bringing everyone together around the table. She also had a special love for flowers, finding beauty and peace in them.Above all, Isabel cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She leaves behind her two beloved children, Eunice Quiles and Elizabeth Rivera, her siblings: Elba Ramos, Noemi Ramos, Santos Ramos, Jose Ramos, her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life as well as many extended family members and friends.Besides her parents, Isa was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Luis Quiles Caraballo, and by four of her siblings: Carmen Ramos, Israel Ramos, Francisco Ramos, and Lucy Maria Ramos.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Community Funeral Chapels and will be held on February 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to share memories and condolences by visiting communityfuneralchapels.com.
