Isabella (Prato) Aiello born in Altavilla Milicia, Sicily, Italy and died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family at her side on May 10, 2023.
On February 21, 1952, she married her husband, Salvatore Aiello, who passed in 2016.
Isabella loved to cook, sew, and spend time with her family. She loved to entertain and fed everyone who came to her home. Known for her Italian cookies, meatballs and braciole, she hosted many dinners. Later in life, after her beloved husband died, she began gardening. Isabella was a devoted wife, mother, nonna, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Joe (Sheila) Aiello and Maria (Pat) Fioretto, by her grandchildren- Maria (Scott) Burdsall, Amelia (Joe) Olson, Salvatore Aiello, Anna Aiello, Josie Fioretto, Isabella (Patrick) Mullane, and Anthony Fioretto, four great-grandchildren - Sofia & Matthew Burdsall and Lina & Jonathan Olson. By her siblings, Maria ( the late Nick) Romano, Pietro (Mirella) Prato, brother-in-law, Benedetto Grana (the late Caterina), Salvatore (Linda) Prato and sister-in-law, Dora (the late Michelangelo) Prato. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Isabella was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore, siblings, Giuseppina (Carlo) Chirchirillo, sister-in-law, Isabella Prato,
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 4-8pm and Saturday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home-625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, Illinois. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 13 at 12:30 at Mary Seat of Wisdom Catholic Church-920 Granville Ave. Park Ridge, IL.
