Isabelle Marie Grubaugh, age 18, of Akron, Ohio passed away suddenly on May 24th, 2025. She was born on September 20th, 2006 in Akron, Ohio.
Isabelle will be remembered for her boundless empathy, her radiant presence, and a heart that was as generous as it was kind. As a devoted STNA, she was cherished by her residents and deeply committed to caring for others—a calling she planned to continue by beginning LPN school in the fall. Her greatest passions were her family (especially her sisters), her many close friends, her work, and her beloved cat, Avon. She had a remarkable gift for makeup and cosmetology, often using her talents to bring joy and confidence to others. Her style was unmatched—effortlessly fashionable, bold, and entirely her own.
Isabelle found joy in cooking and trying new foods, babysitting children, reading, and spending time outdoors, especially in the sun. She adored animals—particularly her reptiles—and loved the peace of nature.Isabelle was fiercely loyal and would do anything for the people she loved. Her sense of humor was unforgettable: vibrant, unique, and capable of lighting up any room. She brought people together—especially during holidays like Christmas and Easter—with her warmth and laughter. She was breathtakingly beautiful, both inside and out, with a spirit that was magnetic and selfless. And through all of life’s moments, the music of Frank Ocean played in the background—a fitting soundtrack to a life so full of love and light that ended way too soon.
She was preceded in death by her Poppy, Robert (Pat) Grubaugh, and Great Grandpa, Jim Bigam. Isabelle is survived by her parents, Crystal Swaidner and Patrick Grubaugh; sisters, Natalie (Avery Drouhard), Madison, and Grace. Also survived by Grammy, Valerie Grubaugh (Jason), great grandma, Alma Bigam (Dave); grandma Nikki Jewel; uncle, Steven Swaidner; aunt, Sarah Batley (Scott); uncle, Ben Swaidner (Hannah); aunt, Jackie Keener, aunt, Jenny Brautigam (Anthony); cousins, Gabby, Isaac, Cam, Ayden, Landyn, Grayson, Meaghan, Preston, and Austin; best friend, Jasmine Serva, and many other amazing family and friends.
