Isaiah Lamar Johnson, 39, of Austin, Texas, completed his earthly journey on Friday, January 9, 2026. Isaiah was born on March 1, 1986, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Elbert and Vickie Johnson. Lovingly known as “Zay” to everyone, Isaiah brought warmth and joy wherever he went.
He was a graduate of L.B.J. High School, where he proudly played football. After graduation, he moved to Houston to attend Texas Southern University. He eventually made his way back to Austin, committing himself to service and support within the community. Throughout his life, he was admired for his personable nature and remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
Isaiah met the love of his life on September 23, 2007, and on that same meaningful date in 2020, he married Celine “Shelli” Morones. Together, they welcomed their beloved daughter, Amelia V. Johnson, on July 19, 2017. Above all else, Isaiah cherished spending time with his family. When he wasn’t surrounded by loved ones, he could often be found cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. His warm smile and generous heart brought comfort and joy to many, and he will be deeply missed.
Isaiah is survived by his beloved wife, Shelli Johnson, and his daughter, Amelia V. Johnson; his father, Elbert Johnson Sr.; and his siblings, Antoinette (Rodney), Kenneth, Shabreca, Joshua, and Elbert Johnson Jr. (Belema).
