Isidra “Vicky” Vidal, age 92, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, at her home in Chatsworth, California, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 10, 1933, in Pangasinan, Philippines to Eugenio Francisco Tolentino Sr. and Marciana Biacan Tolentino.
Vicky was the heart of her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was guided by her strong faith and devotion to God. Even in her final days, she remained gracious, kind, and compassionate, always expressing gratitude for a long and beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and meaningful experiences. She cherished her family and friends and often reflected with thankfulness on a long life filled with rich and varied experiences.
On January 29, 1955, Vicky married a military man, Filomeno Laurico Vidal. They shared a lifelong partnership built on love, friendship, and mutual devotion. Together, they raised five children: Elaine (Inday), Eleonor (Aida), Rosemarie (Mayette), Rudy (Toto), and Baby.
Vicky is survived by her five children, eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many extended family members, and loved ones.
Vicky found joy in life simple pleasures. She enjoyed cooking, tending to her garden, knitting, solving puzzles, traveling, being photographed, shopping, proudly attending family gatherings and celebrations, and especially playing bingo with the family. She was a long time member of an active senior group in the Philippines, Young at Hearts. She was known for her bright, energetic spirit and her remarkable ability to sense when others needed comfort or help. Through her generosity and zest for life, she touched countless hearts and will be deeply missed. Vicky had a true mother’s heart. She was truly a “Nanay” to everyone she crossed paths with.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Vicky’s life February 24, 2026 from 4pm - 8pm, at Rose Family Funeral Home, located at 4444 Cochran St., Simi Valley, CA 93063. We also invite you to join Mass on February 25, 2026 at 10:00am at St. John Eudes Parish, which will then be followed by coming together at Oakwood Memorial Park where we lay Nanay to rest.
