Isidro Menchaca Sr.

Funeral Mass for Isidro Menchaca, Sr. age 81 of Seminole, Texas, will be celebrated Monday, March 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Joseph Thanavelil officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. Rosary will be held at St. James Catholic Church Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 6 to 7 p.m. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Menchaca was born May 13, 1943 in Mexico to Maria (Hernandez) and Salome Menchaca. He married Beatriz Segovia in Mexico on April 24, 1966. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church for 46 years and worked as a farmer. Isidro was a member of the Knights of Columbus; he enjoyed gardening, watching westerns and wrestling. He was a devoted husband and dad, and grandfather.

Isidro Menchaca passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, one daughter, four brothers, one sister, and one granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Beatriz Menchaca of Seminole; eight sons, Felipe Menchaca and wife Isabel of Colorado, Jacinto Menchaca of Seminole, Lazaro Menchaca of Wyoming, Jose Menchaca and wife Kimberly of California, Asencion Menchaca of New Braunfels, Texas, Isidro Menchaca, Jr. and wife BJ of Seminole, Francisco Menchaca and wife Nicole of Tyler, Texas, and Salome Menchaca of Seminole; three daughters, Mica Menchaca and husband Robert of Colorado, Maria Inez Menchaca, and Maria Del-Rosario and husband Mark, both of Seminole; one brother, Jose Menchaca of Florida; three sisters, Teresa Calzada of California, Socorro Diaz and husband Jose Isebel, and Carmen Menchaca, both of Mexico; 26 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
