"Well done, good and faithful servant enter into the joy of your Lord." – Matthew 25:21
Issac Crittenden, a native of Greenville, Alabama, exchanged this life for eternal joy on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
Born on October 19, 1946, Issac was a quiet, strong, and faithful man who lived a life of service, love, and honor. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant. A Vietnam War veteran, he served with distinction in South Vietnam, earning both the Purple Heart Medal - wounded in action and the Silver Star Medal for gallantry in action-a reflection of his unwavering courage and devotion.
Issac was a proud member of the Prince Hall Masonic Temple, where he found brotherhood and purpose rooted in tradition, service, and integrity.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joe Crittenden Sr. and Hattie Ferguson, and siblings: Charles Ray, Virginia Watson, Frederick Crittenden, Al Crittenden, and Mary Lois Crawford.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 45 years, Dorothy Crittenden; his loving children, Carmen (Darryl) Morris of Sachse, TX, and Issac Demetrius Crittenden; and his treasured granddaughter, Brooke Steward, also of Sachse, TX. He is also survived by his brother, Joe Clyde Crittenden; sisters Velvi Moore and Pearl Gertin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will continue to be blessed by his quiet strength and lasting love.
Issac lived simply and humbly, with a calm spirit and a heart full of care. His was a life that didn't need grand gestures to make a deep impact. Whether through a thoughtful deed or a gentle smile, he gave to the world in the most meaningful ways.
