Iva Lee Kilgore Saynes age 88 of Whitwell, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025. She was a member of South Whitwell Baptist Church. Iva was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Powell; husband, Bill Saynes; father, Barney G. Kilgore; mother, Elvia Caldwell Kilgore; infant daughter, Teresa Lynn Saynes; brothers, Jacob "JB" Kilgore, Norman Kilgore, George Kilgore, Joseph Kilgore, Danny Kilgore and Phillip Kilgore.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Randy (Rita) Powell of Apison, Sandy (Donald) Pickett of Whitwell and Alisa (Eugene) Kilgore of Palmer; siblings, Mary (Eddie) Gilliam, Wilma (Jerome) Clark, John "Ed" (Mary Ann) Kilgore, Carol (Ronnie) Rhea; grandchildren, Donald (Paige) Pickett, II, Grace (Toby) Pickett Grayson, Kenny Powell, Mason (Madison) Kilgore, Marlee Kilgore, Morgan Kilgore; great grandchildren, Ainsley Pickett, Jake Pickett, Taylor Grayson Nunley and Tori Grayson; special niece, Shirley (Billy) McKissick; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends; honorary pallbearers, Kenny Powell, Morgan Kilgore and Jake Pickett; pallbearers, Donald Pickett, II, Mason Kilgore, Toby Grayson, Billy McKissick, Joey Powell and Aaron Morrison.
Family will receive friends 4PM-8PM, CDT, Friday, April 11, 2025.
Funeral Service 12PM, CST, Saturday, April 12, 2025, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Roy Terry, Rev. Hershel Powell and Rev. Larry Meade officiating. Interment to follow at Whitwell Memorial Cemetery.
