Ivadelle Pearson Gilmer

Ivadelle Pearson Gilmer, 99, of Albany, GA formerly of Jonesboro, GA passed away Friday, February 28, 2025. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 6841 Tara Blvd., Jonesboro, GA, 30236.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Sherwood Baptist Church on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gilmer, Son, Wayne Gilmer, daughter, Karel Rabern and daughter-in-law, Darlene Gilmer,

Iva was born and raised in Nebraska and has lived with her daughter in Albany, GA for the past ten years. She loved the Lord and was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church. She had many talents, including sewing, making ceramics and porcelain dolls. She blessed many people with cross bookmarks that have been given to everyone she sees, Some have been sent to Thailand, Operation Christmas Child, Vacation Bible School and movie sets.   

Survivors include her daughter, Karen K. Jorgensen and husband Lon, Albany, GA, sons, Darrell C. Gilmer and Ellery Gilmer (Jean), daughter-in-law, Traci Gilmer all of Omaha, NE, son-in-law, Terry Rabern, Wetumpka, AL. nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
