Ivanka Madiraca

Ivanka Vanja Madiraca, 79, of West Deptford, passed away January 20, 2024. Beloved mother of Alexander (Angelique). Loving grandmother of Danielle and Olivia. Dear sister of Alosja (Renata) and the late Mary and Vinko. Aunt of Ivona, Annmarie, Susan, John, Tomislav, Katerina, Christina, and the late Mario and Vincent. Also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
Ivanka was born March 10, 1944 in Trogir, Yugoslavia. She was the daughter of Ivan and Slobodna Madiraca. At eleven-years-old, Ivanka, alongside her family, fled World War II finding a new home in the United States. During her time in the states, Ivanka has succeeded in many accomplishments. She was a waitress for 50 plus years where she touched the hearts of many with her charismatic personality. She also was a three time T.V bowling champion, throwing knuckleballs down the lanes to beat all of her opponents. Her greatest achievement of all was having her son, Alex, and later two beautiful granddaughters, Danielle and Olivia.
In addition to her many accomplishments, Ivanka loved traveling to Fortescue to fish. There were many memories of the family at Alosja's house on Money Island. When she was not busy spending her time fishing, Ivanka was her granddaughters' number one fan at dance recitals, soccer and softball games. In her later years, she loved to crochet blankets, pillows, and whatever yarn she could get her hands on. She loved spending her time down by the river chatting with her friends or taking day trips to the casino in hopes of winning big. Her loving memory will be carried by those who knew and loved her.
There will be a viewing on Saturday January 27, 2024 from 10am to 11am at Gardner Funeral Home, Runnemede. Funeral service 11am at the funeral home. Interment private at request of family.
