Ivy Madeline Celender

Dr. Ivy Madeline Hill Celender Age 90 passed away February 21, 2026, after complications of a stroke. She is proceeded in death by her parents William and Hertha Hill. She is survived by daughter Catherine Celender and family friend and caregiver William (Bill) Culp. Bill provided the daily care needed to keep Ivy in her home for many years until her passing. Ivy was a great contributor to multiple organizations. One organization Ivy made provisions for in her estate plan is the Minnesota Zoo Foundation. Ivy was an animal lover since childhood. She had two cats that she adored, Lord Fluffington and Ling. Ivy worked for General Mills for many years as the Vice President of Nutrition. Ivy spoke to congress regarding the need for public education and the need for nutrition on packaged food.

There will be a brief Graveside Service held at 12 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Union Cemetery, White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
