Bryan Heeb was a kind and generous soul whose life revolved around family, friends and cheering on his beloved UK Wildcats, Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals. He enjoyed a long, successful career as a salesman, a career perfectly suited to his work ethic, authentic nature and complete inability to know a stranger. He had a ready smile, a hearty laugh and genuine interest in and concern for everyone that came into his orbit.

Bryan, along with his wife, Kelly, adored their three children – Sarah, Joey and Andy. He was their father, mentor, friend, coach, cheerleader, euchre partner and role model. And Bryan and Kelly always made sure to carve out time for each other for trips to the beach, visits to casinos, taking in live music and spending evenings with friends. Theirs was a strong marriage and lifelong friendship.

There is a Bryan Heeb-size hole in the world for those of us fortunate to know him and call him a husband, father, brother, son and friend. But his example will get us through this difficult time, and his memory will give us comfort.

The family would like to thank St. Elizabeth Cancer Care Center, St. Elizabeth Hospice and Bryan’s loving brother and doctor, Christopher Heeb who cared for Bryan during his long illness, as well as Bryan’s family and friends who were always by his side with love and support.  While the outcome was not what was hoped for, the dedication of his medical and support team was exemplary.

Bryan spent the last 9 years of his career and his life doing a job he loved and where his personal passions could be recognized. From the beginning of his time at Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Bryan worked tirelessly to make his knowledge of sales and office supplies bring to fruition the dream of VIE Ability, a CABVI business line employing individuals with vision loss. Bryan always had an idea for what came next, and the opportunities often materialized. His belief in his team and CABVI became the foundation for many successful product launches. Bryan utilized his ability to build amazing relationships and partnerships to accomplish the mission of CABVI, both internally and externally. Particularly with the State of Ohio, helping CABVI earn multiple business awards through the Community Rehabilitation Program. Bryan’s efforts brought CABVI contracts for custom signage, door hardware, furniture, and most notably the State of Ohio contract for office supplies in 2021. Bryan’s passion for the mission resulted in both new jobs for individuals with vision loss and significant growth in the funds needed for services to the community. His contributions to the agency will be part of his legacy and Bryan’s commitment to the mission will be impactful long beyond today.

Bryan passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 with his family by his side.  He will be deeply missed by his wife Kelly, children, Sarah, Joey, and Andy (Alice).  Bryan’s siblings, William “Bill” (Julie), Mary Gene (Steve) Bengel and Chris (Patty).  Bryan was dearly loved by many nieces and nephews, his cats Socks & Peaches and lifelong buddy, Ken “Doc” Schuler.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jo and William Heeb, and younger brother, Kevin.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pike, Ft. Wright, KY 41017.  Friday, January 26, 2024, St. Augustine Church, 1839 Euclid Avenue, Covington, KY 41014, from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11:00 AM.  A private interment will take place at a later date.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Cincinnati Association for Blind and Visually Impaired, 2045 Gilbert Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45202
