J. Connor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mount Laurel Home for Funerals & Cremation Services, Inc. on Jan. 3, 2023.
Dr. J. Christopher Connor, age 73, passed away peacefully in the arms of his grandson, Christopher, on December 29, 2022 following a courageous fight against cancer. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 53 years Kathleen (nee McCauley), loving daughters Lauren (Joshua) and Kristen (Andrew), beloved grandchildren Christopher, Henry and Julia, sister Pam (Mark), his aunt Alice, in-laws Don (Tracey), Janet, Bob (Joan) and Joanie (Dave), 18 nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. Chris was predeceased by his parents William and Helen, brothers W. Michael and J. Patrick and newborn daughter Amy.
Born in Kansas City, MO on June 16, 1949, Chris was raised in Prairie Village, KS before moving to Garden City, NY. He was a graduate of Garden City High School, Fordham University and the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine (now part of Temple University.) He was a member of the faculty and board of trustees of the latter for many years and involved in many other professional and Catholic organizations.
Chris was very proud of receiving his Eagle Scout at a young age. This fostered his strong desire to do for and help others. He devoted his career to serving the community as a podiatrist in private practice. He was also an avid golfer, skier and chef, and loved travel, working outdoors and opera. Perhaps Chris will be best remembered for his many jokes and stories, his smile and giving spirit, his good heart, and the way he looked after the ones he loved. He felt blessed to have lived an amazing, full life.
Private services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be outside Kansas City alongside many family members and his daughter Amy.
