Ja'Naya Love Miller, affectionately known as "Naya," was a radiant light whose spirit touched everyone she met. At just 17 years old, she transitioned from this life on Sunday, October 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love that will never fade.

Born on July 28, 2008, in Akron, Ohio, to Joycelyn Williams and Justin Miller, Ja'Naya was a proud senior at North High School, Class of 2026. She was a bright student who looked forward to graduating and building a future filled with promise. Alongside her studies, she worked at Steak 'n Shake, where her friendly smile and joyful personality made her a favorite among coworkers and customers alike.

Ja'Naya was a sweet, gentle soul with a contagious laugh and a heart that welcomed everyone. She loved spending time with her family and friends, listening to music, taking pictures, and creating memories that brought joy to those around her. Her presence had a way of lighting up any room, and her compassion made her someone people naturally gravitated toward. Though her time on earth was short, the impact of her love and energy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Joycelyn Williams; brother, Javier Logan; grandparents, Evelyn Louise Neal-Miller, Frank L. "Doc" Miller Jr., and Johnny Williams III; and a host of other cherished relatives who now welcome her home.

Left to celebrate her memory and carry her light forward are her devoted father and bonus mother, Justin and Starchella Miller; grandmothers Asenathe "Cynda" Watts-Williams and Kimberly Carter; grandparents Jonathan and Mary Cargill, Jerry and Barbara Williams; godmother Rachia Garrett; aunts Tanieka Watts, Carmen Taylor of Southampton, VA, Debra Brown, Carmenita Spooney, Latrieka (Donta) Keys Sr., and Cherelle Jones; uncles Frank Miller III, Jason (Andreya) Miller, Kevin Neal, Valentino (Sabrina) Cargill Sr., Brandon (Wynetta) Jefferson, and Eugene Jones, all of Akron; siblings Justin Jr., Arianna, Jeremiah, Amari, and RayNautika; godbrothers Denane Jr., Xavier, and Daviontae; god sisters Qimarah and A'mayah; nephews DeCardia Jr. and Aycen; niece Na'lah; special cousin Micaela; best friend Troy; and a large circle of great aunts and uncles, cousins, classmates, and friends who will continue to honor her memory.

Though Ja'Naya's life was brief, it was beautiful. She will be remembered for her tender heart, her laughter that could fill a room, and her unwavering love for her family. Her memory will forever live on in the stories, smiles, and hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
