Jacalyn "Jackie" Kaye De Young, 73, of Modesto, California, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on June 6, 1952, Jackie built a life centered on faith, family, and laughter. On November 14, 1970, she married the love of her life, Gregory De Young. Together they shared more than 55 years of marriage, building a home filled with warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion.

Jackie was a proud and loving mother to her sons, Nathan DeYoung and Kevin DeYoung, and a cherished mother-in-law to Shelby DeYoung. Her greatest joy was being "Grandma" to Ruby DeYoung, Gracie DeYoung, and River DeYoung. She treasured every holiday, gathering, and simple moment spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and extended family.

She is also survived by her sisters, Sandy Spencer (Sheldon) and Marla Welch (Mark). She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Bray. Jackie leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close.

Jackie had a gift for making others feel at home. Many considered her a second mother-someone to turn to for comfort, wisdom, encouragement, or simply a good laugh. Her sense of humor was contagious, and her laughter could brighten any room. She was deeply proud of her faith, which guided her life and served as the foundation of her strength and compassion.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Community Church, 4220 Dale Road, Modesto, CA 95350, on February 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

Jackie's legacy of love, faith, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
