Jacey Leeper, 44, of Lewellen passed away July 9, 2024 in Greeley, Colorado.
Memorial Services will be held to celebrate Jacey’s birthday at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the Lewellen Tiger Den.
Memorials in Jacey’s name can be made to The Special Olympics, Lewellen Tiger Den, or the family for later designations.
Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home and Cremations in Oshkosh is serving the Leeper family.
Jacey Scott Leeper was born July 18, 1979 in Oshkosh, Nebraska to Joseph and Jody (Bradley) Leeper. He was raised in Lewellen and attended Lewellen Grade School and graduated from Garden County High in 2000.
He worked multiple jobs around Garden County before moving to the Office of Human Development in Sidney in 2009. He lived at the Crestview apartments and worked at Play It Again Sam and as a Handy Man with Dan the Maintenance man.
He was involved in Special Olympics from the age of 6 and was still active. His favorite sport was bowling! He loved hats, fishing, Reese’s, Dr. Pepper, trucks, tractors, $5 bills, go-carts, his golf cart, and people. He never knew a stranger!
Jacey is survived by his mother, Jody (Eric) Lobner of Lewellen; sister, Abbey Reeves (KC Merrihew) of Ashby; nephews, Tyson, Dom, and Landon; aunt, Kelli (Kirk) Kuxhausen; cousins, Nick (Eva) Kuxhausen, Carlye (Creighton) Morris, Madi (Daniel) Rohrer; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Leeper; step-father, Jim Reeves; paternal grandparents, Ed and Dorothy Leeper; maternal grandparents, Skip and Betty Bradley; great- grandparents, Bob and Dorothy Anwyl; uncle, Jeff Bradley and nephew, Dusty Boppre.
