Jack Barfield, age 92, passed away peacefully at his home in Cleveland, Ohio, on December 4, 2025. He was born on October 8, 1933, in Sundial, West Virginia, to his loving parents, the late Jessie Barefield and Lucinda Petry.

Jack was blessed to have known true and enduring love through his marriage to his beloved wife, Rosetta. Together, they built a beautiful family and were the proud parents of Cynthia Barfield, Jack D. Barfield, and David K. Barfield, and the late Rosalena Vrekalich and Diane Barfield. He was a devoted grandfather to Steven Barfield, Daniel Barfield, Mathew Barfield, Dillon Barfield, Tiffany Barfield, Jessica Valderin, Rhiannon Murdock, Shawn Barfield, William Barfield, and Joshua Barfield; a cherished great-grandfather to Kayla Nichol Bruce, Halle Barfield, Brandon Barfield, Brittany Barfield, Olivia Barfield, Dianna R. Vrekalich, Shawn Vrekalich, Jr., Ka'Leah Sanchez, and Ace Nehez; and a proud great-great-grandfather to Vivianna Bruce, Jack Michael Barfield, Avery Allyne Barfield, and Carson Smith. His grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy, and he held each one close to his heart.

Preceded in death by his three brothers and five sisters, Jack was also a treasured uncle to Pepsi Barfield, Timmy Barfield, Ken William, and Phyllis Burnside.

Jack enjoyed playing music, working in the yard, and taking things apart just to fix them again. Though small in stature, he was strong in spirit. He loved watching Walker, Texas Ranger and always had his chewing tobacco close by.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in the spring. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Slone & Co. Funeral Directors.
