Sandra A. Ward, age 89, of Westlake, Ohio, passed away on January 1, 2026. She was the adored mother of Albert M. Musca, Daniel G. Musca (Ronda), Julie M. Peacock (Tom), and John J. Musca (Mary). She was a loving grandmother to Hayden Musca, Haley Musca, Jake Peacock, and Katie Peacock. Sandra was the dearest sister of Patrick Ward (deceased) and the beloved daughter of Helen and Howard (Darby) Ward. She was a dear aunt and a cherished friend to many.
Sandy was a dedicated teacher, pastoral care minister, and social worker. She attended Saint Augustine High School and was an avid lifelong learner, earning higher education degrees from The Ohio State University, Loyola University Chicago, and the University of Notre Dame. She loved traveling and making international friends and eventually became fluent in Spanish. Deeply spiritual, Sandy led teen retreats at Saint Christopher Church and had a strong and unwavering faith in God. She treasured her faith, family, and friends above all else.
Funeral services will be held at Saint Christopher Church, 20141 Detroit Road, Rocky River, Ohio, on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Family and friends are invited to gather at 10:00 a.m. in the Gathering Room, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
