Jack Blake Caldwell, a beloved husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 14th, 2025 at the age of 82 in Council Bluffs, IA. Jack was born on December 18th, 1942 in Soda Springs, Idaho and lived a life full of service, love, and dedication to his family, friends, and his country.
A proud veteran, Jack served honorably in the Navy and was deeply committed to his country and fellow service members. Jack enjoyed life's simple pleasures, he enjoyed playing pool, watching sports, and spending time with his beloved wife, Janice, whom he shared 38 wonderful years.
Jack will be remembered for his kindness, his willingness to lend a helping hand to others in need, and the unwavering love he gave to those he held dear. Jack's presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Caldwell; his children: Jerry (Delsena) Caldwell of Montana, Steve Caldwell of Washington, Nickey (Jim) Butts of Montana, Jena Caldwell of Utah, Lisa (Paul) Caffrey of South Dakota, Mike (Amy) Caldwell of Idaho, John Caldwell of Arizona, Robert (Katie) Caldwell of Utah, Cindy Biggs of Iowa, and Shelly (Mark) Edie of Iowa; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren, as well as many loving family members and friends.
Jack's legacy of love, service, and family will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, knowing he leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure for generations to come.
A memorial service to honor Jack's life will be held at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home, 1221 N. 16th Council Bluffs, IA 51501 on 01/23/2025. Viewing will begin at 10:00 am with a service 11:00 am. Luncheon to follow.
