Obituary For Jack David Campbell

Jack David Campbell, 84, of Tavares, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2026 surrounded by his loving wife, Judy, and their daughter, Tracey.

Early Life and Masonic Brotherhood

Born in Mingo Junction, Ohio, on September 16, 1941, Jack remained an Ohioan at heart throughout his life. Distance didn't stop him from keeping many lifelong friendships. In 1969, he became a member of Masonic Lodge #45 in Steubenville, Ohio. Even after moving south, he remained a dedicated lifelong member of the Grand Lodge in Steubenville, maintaining the bonds of brotherhood for over 50 years.

A Career of Service and Education

Jack and Judy moved to Florida in 1972. Jack initially shared his talents as an automotive technician with Cadillac before choosing to pursue his degree in education. He transformed his mechanical expertise into a distinguished 25-year career as an instructor and vocational director at Tampa Bay Tech High School. He was passionate about his students' success, personally helping many secure their first steps into lifelong vocational careers.

Life and Legacy

Jack will be remembered most for his unwavering friendship. He maintained bonds that spanned over 75 years, and at every stage of his career, he found friends who remained in his life until the end. When he wasn't in the classroom or repairing a car, Jack could often be found on the water, enjoying the Florida fishing he loved so much. However, of all the roles he held-husband, father, friend, technician, teacher, fisherman, and Mason-the one that brought him the most profound joy was "Pap" to "his girls. " His granddaughters were the light of his life.

Family

Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Campbell; his daughter and son-in-law, Tracey and Sean Tucker; and his beloved granddaughters, Bailey and Shelby Tucker. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Buchanan; nieces; and many other relatives and life-long friends in both Ohio and Florida. Jack was predeceased by his sister Kathryn (Kathy) Campbell and one of his longest and dearest friends, the brother he never had, Bobby (Stoney) Stone.

Services

The family will receive visitors at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Wednesday, February 4, from noon until the time of services at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bill Lawrence officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben.

Memorials may be directed to Shriners Childrens Hospital or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
