Jack Clay Dobbs

Jack Clay Dobbs, 80, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on 7-7-22 in Las Vegas. Jack was born in Rockmart, Georgia to Willis Dobbs and Martha (Burt) Dobbs on July 23, 1941. He was raised in Marietta, Ga and graduated from Robert L. Osborne High School and worked at Rich's Department Store in Atlanta where he sold children's shoes to former President Jimmy Carter's children. Jack moved to Las Vegas, Nevada on August 12, 1979 to start a new adventure with his life-partner, Mark Rucker. August 12, 2022 would have been their 44th anniversary. Jack was a florist and worked in a few flower shops before owning two of his own, Simply Elegant and Yours Exclusively. He served the elite of Las Vegas for large weddings, special parties and Christmas decorating homes. He also served many hotels and headliner entertainers on the LV Strip. He and Mark enjoyed life traveling, camping and he loved their dogs. Jack is preceded in death by his parents Willis Dobbs and Martha (Burt) Dobbs, brothers Billy Dobbs, Richard Dobbs, Bobby Dobbs and sister Carol (Dobbs) Davis. There will be no viewing or service at his request.
