Jack Paul Haesly

Jack Paul Haesly was born Saturday, November 13, 1937 to Doran John Haesly and Estelle Bury (Haesly) Nielsen in Dallas, TX. He was the youngest of five children. He was preceded in death by his parents and three of his siblings (Marjorie, John, and Barry). He is survived by his sister, Doris French of Austin, TX. He is additionally survived by his children and their families: Angela and Tim Ledbetter with Kara and Grant with wife Hannah; Ingrid and Udo Kohlmorgen with Hans and Emmi; all of Euless, TX.
Jack grew up in Dallas and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. He subsequently attended the University of North Texas earning a bachelor's degree in secondary education, art, and biology in 1962. In recent years he enjoyed going back to his alma mater for football games and other sporting events as well as music performances from the One O'clock Lab Band and the UNT percussion department. He had a long career in the electronics industry with Texas Instruments, Honeywell, Lite-On, Polytronix, Phonex, and Southwest Technical Sales. He enjoyed traveling and visited many countries with work and on vacation. He felt it was important for his children to experience the world outside of Dallas, the state of Texas, and the United States. He instilled a passion in them for travel as well. He was a "foodie" before the term was first used in 1980 and enjoyed sharing recipes with his grandchildren. He had a passion for photography and music which he passed on to his children. He loved art and was so proud of a national prize he won as a young child. He was an accomplished marksmen in ROTC; however, due to a childhood accident where his back was broken he was not able to serve in the military as he desired.
