Jack Halter Obituary
Born July 12,1933 in Canton he was a son of the late Harry Halter and Lalah Russell Halter. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Canton and served in the US Army from 1953-1955. He worked at The Timken Company for 41 years, retiring in 1994.
Jack enjoyed spending time on his farm in Carrollton, raising beef cattle along with all the demanding work that came with having a small farm. He collected antique tractors and was a member of the Silver Heart Parr Tractor Collectors and a proud owner of a Ford Model A.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife Hazel Halter on March 19, 2023. They were married on April 15, 1957. Also preceding him in death are brothers Roy and Tom Halter and a sister June Kenny.
Surviving are sons Jeff Halter of Carrollton and Scott Halter, and his wife Rebecca, of Dallas GA grandchildren Mandy Hill, and her husband Earl, of Barnesville GA and Shane, and his wife Sarah, of Thomaston GA and five great grandchildren.
In keeping with his wishes, Jack will be buried in Perrysville Cemetery with no services. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with his arrangements.
