Jack Lee Inman
Age: 85
Springfield, MO
Jack died peacefully at 6:55pm on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at Springhouse Village in Springfield with his wife, JoAn, at his side. He was born on April 23, 1939, at Burge Hospital in Springfield, MO as the oldest son of William Jackson Inman and Mayme Ruth O'Neal Inman. He graduated from Central High School in 1957 and on September 26, 1958, married the love of his life, JoAn Friedehofen. They had two sons, Randy and Rod.
Jack was truly a "jack of all trades" and owned many businesses in Springfield, MO throughout his lifetime, including Springfield Roofing, A-Jack's Roofing Supply, and Bicycles and More. He also owned B and I Tire with his brother Jay.
Jack and JoAn retired to Diamondhead, Mississippi in 1995. Instead of staying retired, Jack decided to own a golf cart shop as well as build houses. He attempted retirement multiple times but ended up restless and would subsequently start another business. Jack was an excellent businessman and was well known for his honesty and generosity. He was very astute; he had a natural talent for running businesses.
A man of many hobbies and endeavors, Jack enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, classic cars (of which he owned quite a few over the years), square dancing, fishing, stock car racing, and attending auctions (and always buying stuff) with his oldest son, Randy. He enjoyed watching his son, Rod, in his motorcross races. Jack was an avid Shriner and participated with the Shriner's Hospital Dads Program. He thoroughly enjoyed taking children and families to St. Louis for treatments. Jack also taught Sunday School at Glidewell Baptist Church for several years. He was always there for a friend in need.
Jack is survived by his wife of 66 years, JoAn, their two sons Randy and Rod, his brothers-in-law Jack Stinson and Andy Friedhofen, grandchildren Lissa and Tanner, great granddaughter Lyrik and many nieces and nephews, in addition to JoAn's daughter-by-choice, Joan Nutting, a good family friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Jody and Jay.
Visitation will be held at Greenlawn Memorial North (North National) at 1pm on Friday, November 22, 2024. The memorial service will immediately follow at 2pm.
Donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital Dads program or the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.

Jack and I were competitors in business but when we had issues with a project or customer I could call on Jack to meet with us and explain any issues and problems. Many other competitors would never work to solve problems. I have high respect for his friendship, plus he was just a nice guy. His family is also great folks to work with as business services. No doubt Jack is in a better place and probably looking down on us today. Barney Leon Munhollon
