Jack Jones Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jun. 1, 2023.
HALTOM CITY, TEXAS - Jack Von Jones, 85, peacefully passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Jack was born on December 13, 1937, to Patrick Henry Jones and Ruth Oriene Bennett in Fort Worth, Texas.
Jack graduated from Northside High School in Fort Worth in 1957. He went on to work some odd jobs, until 1963, when he began loading trucks. In 1964, he quickly found his passion and became a truck driver. Later, he became a proud member of the Teamsters 745. On December 1, 1962, Jack married the love of his life, that he claimed to have "won on a $5 bet," Wilma Lee Dial in Fort Worth. For 60 wonderful years, Jack and Wilma were loving life and didn't regret a minute of the beautiful life and family they created together.
Jack retired from truck driving, in 1997, at the top of the roster, and was a 2-million-mile safe driver. While retired, Jack spent time loving his family, dogs, enjoyed watching wrestling, and eating at new restaurants. Each place was his "new favorite," regardless of what he had said before, or how many times he went. Jack's all-time favorite adventure was going to Dallas to watch WWE WrestleMania in 2016.
Jack was preceded in death by parents, Patrick Henry Jones and Ruth Oriene Bennett; twin brother, Jerry Don Jones; and sister, Barbara Mercer.
He is survived by wife, Wilma Jones; daughters, Kelli Jones, Staci and husband, Grady Moore; grandchildren, Kerri, and wife, Lindsey Lytle, Bryan and wife Valerie Vogelsberg, Kyle and wife, Megan Vogelsberg, Loren Vogelsberg and husband, Felix Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Brynlee and Olivia Lytle, Gunner and Hudson Vogelsberg, and Christian Rodriguez.

I was so lucky to have you as my crazy Dad. I was fortunate to be able to spend 8 to 10 hours everyday of those 21 days in the hospital, I will always look back at the funny videos we took while we were there I know you are in Heaven and will always be watching over me. I will always miss you terribly, but I know we will see eachother again, this is not goodbye, it's see ya later Dad! I Love you !

I will always remember the years that Jack was so full of spunk and always let one know of something that was on his mind. Especially the last time I talk with him an his devotion to his wife Wilma. He needed to finish up a project in his home. I´m gonna miss you, Even tho you wasn´t my dad, I respected you as one.
