Jack Lloyd Jones, age 80, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, in
Sandy, Utah. Born on February 17, 1945, in the rural town of
Enterprise, Utah, Jack was one of ten children raised on the family farm-a place that instilled in him a deep work ethic, a love for hands-on problem-solving, and a lifetime of practical knowledge. His father, a Master Carpenter, passed down not only his skills but also a legacy of craftsmanship and dedication that Jack carried with him throughout his life.
Jack's professional journey was as diverse as it was impactful. Though he worked in many different fields over the years, one common thread ran through them all: he was always fixing something. As an Electronics Technical Engineer, Jack lent his expertise to companies such as Utah Power & Light (now Pacificorp), Northrop Grumman, and Black Diamond Engineering. Whether working with complex electronics or solving mechanical challenges, Jack approached every task with precision and pride.
His personal life was marked by rich relationships and enduring connections. In 1966, Jack married Sandra Christensen-Judkins. Together they welcomed three children: Dale Jones, Wayne Christensen, and Denice Clegg. Their marriage later ended in divorce.
In 1973, while embarking on what he described as "the adventure of a lifetime" in Alaska, Jack married Diane Collison. Their union brought forth a daughter, Amber Waddoups. This marriage also ended in divorce in 1992. He later married Robynn Sisam-Jones in 1995; though their time together was brief-lasting just over a year-it marked another chapter in Jack's journey. In 1997, he married Gloria Tolla; they divorced in 2007.
In his later years, Jack found companionship and joy with Pauline Helm. Though they never married, Pauline remained by his side as a devoted partner until his passing.
Jack is lovingly remembered by his four children: Dale Jones, Wayne Christensen, Denice Clegg, and Amber Waddoups (Tony); and by his cherished grandchildren Oakley and Waverly Waddoups. He is also survived by nine siblings: Kathleen Phearson (Roger), Jewel Ann Beatty (Reed), Rulon Lee (Linda), Bruce (Toni), his identical twin brother Dave Lewis (Sherri), Thouis Eugene (Shauna), Garvin Wayne, Daniel Cluade, and Brian Tim (Linda). His loyal companion Pauline Helm also survives him.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Sandra Christensen-Judkins, his second wife Diane Jones, and both of his parents.
Jack's interests reflected the same hands-on spirit that defined his career. In his younger years, he could often be found water skiing on local lakes with his boat-a pastime he thoroughly enjoyed. Later in life, he became deeply involved in square dancing, embracing the rhythm and community it offered. But perhaps nothing brought him more joy than nurturing plants. Each year he started hundreds of vegetable plants from seed-tending to them with care before selling them to others. These plants were more than a hobby; they were a source of pride and fulfillment. Many people's gardens will be lacking this year, and in the years to come without Jack's babies to grace the ground.
Known for his generosity and willingness to help others-especially if it involved fixing something-Jack truly embodied the phrase "jack of all trades." Whether repairing electronics or lending a hand to friends and neighbors, he gave freely of his time and talents.
May Jack Lloyd Jones be remembered for the lives he touched through kindness, skillful hands, and an unwavering spirit of service. His memory will live on through those who knew and loved him.
