Jack Kealey Obituary

Jack Kealey
Jack Kealey, 79, of Woodbridge, formerly of Orange, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026, at his home with his loving family by his side. Jack was born in New Haven on July 19, 1946, and was the son of the late John J. and Mildred Russoff Kealey. A graduate of Hamden High School, Jack later attended Quinnipiac College and served in the US Army Reserves. Jack's career began in the mid 1970's when he started working for Harrison Conference Services. He was named Vice President of Sales and Marketing and quickly became a leading figure in the hospitality industry. He served on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) for many years, and was honored with IACC's top award, the Mel Hosansky Award for Distinguished Service, in 2003. Jack was recognized for his innovation, leadership, and mentorship throughout his career. After retiring from Harrison in 2005, Jack served as the General Manager of Racebrook Country Club in Orange for ten years. An avid golfer, he spent many happy hours on the greens with his beloved friends. Jack's greatest joy in life, however, was time spent with his cherished wife, children, and grandchildren: skiing, fishing, family dinners, and proudly attending their sporting events, concerts, and plays. Jack enjoyed cooking and became known for serving his delicious osso bucco, homemade pizza, and linguini and clams to his family and friends. His generosity in all things was limitless. Jack's family will miss his calm, steadfast presence, his warmth, and his endless love which he expressed freely and often.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Marilyn DeMarseliis Kealey, his children John (Angela) Kealey, Gregory (Kim) Kealey and Joy (Konstantine) Drakonakis, his grandchildren Liam, Ryder, AnnieRose Kealey, Gregory and Dylan Kealey, Christopher and Kayla Gyger, James Phillips, Nicholas and Rose Drakonakis, his sister Patricia Perrelli (Joseph), and his extended family and friends.
The visiting hours will be Saturday morning, January 31st from 9:30 to 11:30 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Orange Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project (woundedwarriorproject.org) or American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) www.northhavenfuneral.com
