Brian Kealey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home - Macon on Jan. 22, 2026.
Brian Daniel Kealey, 69, of Macon, MO, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 16, 2026, surrounded by family.

Brian was born on August 2, 1956, in Holdrege, NE, the son of Daniel Duane and Prima Doreen (Woodburn) Kealey, and grew up in Sierra Vista, AZ, where he raised his family. Later he moved to Texas for a while before moving to Missouri. He was united in marriage to Norma Smith, and they enjoyed their shared activities, hobbies, and trips. Brian was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and was a coast-to-coast truck driver, a career that suited his independent spirit and love of the open road. When he wasn't truck driving, he could be found fishing, at any ocean, lake or pond he could get to. Brian also enjoyed hunting and camping and watching the University of Arizona basketball and football teams. He loved playing Keno at the casino and always used the same numbers. Brian was a champion arm wrestler, proudly collecting many trophies and he was an overall "bad ass" in every sense of the word.

Brian was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Brian is survived by his wife, Norma Kealey of the home; two children, Christopher Kealey and Jennifer Kealey, both of Tucson, AZ; four stepchildren, Crystal Rogers of Copperas Cove, TX, Justin Rogers of Michigan City, IN, Katrina Rogers of Abeline, TX, and Andrew Rogers also of Abeline, TX and six step-grandchildren, all whom he loved very much; his longtime best friend, Benny Parker of Sierra Vista, AZ and nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Mickey Kealy; two sisters, Suzanne Belle and Colleen Kay, and two brothers, Richard Shane and Kevin Guy.

Brian's wish was to have his body donated to science. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO.
