Jack F. Latora

Jack F. Latora, of Barnegat, passed away on November 2, 2025, at Southern Ocean Medical Center at the age of 90. Born on November 20, 1934, in Newark, NJ, to Nicholas and Mary Latora, Jack was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of 63 years, Norma Carpiniello Latora, and his brother, Phillip.
Together, Jack and Norma built a wonderful life and raised two daughters in Mountainside, NJ, before retiring to their dream home on the bay in Barnegat. Jack worked for many years as a carpenter for the Northeast Regional Local Union #254 in Edison before retiring.
Jack loved spending his summers with his amazing extended family in Lavallette. He enjoyed swimming, traveling, skiing, ice skating, decorating for Christmas, and sharing countless dinners and dances with Norma. Jack took immense pride in his home and loved to tinker around the house while meticulously landscaping his property-always preparing for their lavish parties, especially their New Year's Eve and Fourth of July celebrations. Their front door was always open, welcoming all family and friends.
He is survived by his adoring daughters, Lynn Scheider and her husband Glenn, and Jill Reichard and her husband Ray; his cherished grandchildren, Austin and Abigail Scheider, and Jackson and Giabella Reichard; along with his loyal fur baby, Aspen. He also leaves behind many dear nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 2:30-4:30 pm at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Rt. 9, Forked River, NJ 08731. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 10th at 10:30am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
