Jack Lowe

Jack Lowe, 93, of Holland, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Jack was born June 7, 1932, in Concord, Tennessee, to William R. and Ida (Curtis) Lowe. Jack was one of eight Lowe children; he had three brothers and four sisters. After high school, Jack received undergraduate and master's degrees in math and leadership. He married Shirley Dams on June 15, 1956. Jack became an educator and worked in the Detroit River Rouge area until moving to Holland in the late 1960's. Jack served as a principal in the Holland Public Schools and later as HPS's assistant superintendent. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Shirley, their children: Joy and James Stegink, Kathryn and Bart Hibbard, Sharon and Ken Howell, Heather and Kristopher Fernhout; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church, 517 West 32nd Street, Holland MI 49423. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 pm, Saturday prior to the service at Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will be in Graafschap Cemetery.
