Jack X. Ost

Jack passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019. He served with the Navy as a Naval Aviator during WW2 and continued in the Naval Air Reserves, retiring as Captain. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation from 4 to 7 pm Friday, August 9 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, 781 Newark Pompton Tpke, Pompton Plains. A funeral Mass in his memory will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, August 10 at the Cedar Crest Interfaith Chapel, 1 Cedar Crest Drive, Pompton Plains. Private entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cedar Crest Benevolent Care Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
