Jack Eugene Parsons, beloved husband of Bert Parsons, passed away June 21, 2025, in Georgetown, Kentucky. Jack was born on April 13, 1950, to the late Garland Parsons and Lucille Thelma Wilson Parsons in Huntington, West Virginia. Before retiring, Jack did construction work as his career with Athena Marble in Lexington. Jack was someone who didn't know a stranger. He always showed up for the ones he loved in many ways. Whether that was him being the chauffeur, the cook for everyone, or being someone to lean on, he was truly a caring man who loved his family deeply beyond measure. Jack was a storyteller; he enjoyed reading up on history and sharing the knowledge of it as well as collecting coins. Besides his wife, Jack will be deeply missed by his son, Matthew (Kimber) Parsons, his two daughters, Shawna (Reese Mcintyre) Johnson, and Angie (Bill) Grose. His two stepdaughters, Nancy Stambaugh and Tina Haney. Five grandchildren, Jacob (Jessica Hickman) Johnson, Anthony (Sharon) Johnson, Brady (Destiny) Grose, Aric Grose, and is Michael Jax Parsons, and two great-grandchildren. Liam and Tinsley Grose. Jack is also survived by two very special friends, Tim Fraizer and Kevin Happy, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in his passing by his stepson, Okie Stambaugh, two brothers, Walter Shamblin and Tom Weaver, and Bea Fraizer, who was like a sister to him. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Bill Grose officiating. Friends and family are encouraged to leave messages of condolence and share memories here on Jack's Tribute Wall.
