Services for Jack Ferguson Ritchey, 81, of Powderly, TX, are scheduled for 12:00 PM on Sunday, January 5th, 2025, at the Eagles Lodge in Paris, TX.
Jack passed away December 17, 2024, in Paris TX surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 3, 1943, in Houston TX, to William and Virginia Ferguson Ritchey. He was a long-time resident of Rockwall, TX. Jack was a Texas State Trooper, City of Rockwall police officer, and investigator for the District Attorney's Office while residing in Rockwall. He was a "jack of all trades", doing many jobs that he loved. He was a scuba diver working with different agencies in their investigation recoveries. He also worked in the auction business for many years.
When he remarried, he and Sharon eventually relocated to Powderly, TX. They lived in Powderly for over 27 years. Jack and Sharon were both active members of the Eagles Lodge in Paris, TX; donating time and efforts to many charities and fund raisers.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon Ritchey; two brothers, Harold Ritchey and Leo Ritchey; sisters, Dorothy Shelton and Sissy; son-in-law, Scott Bedell.
Survivors include his two daughters, Kim Neal and husband, Darrell of Grand Saline, TX and Amber Ritchey of Dallas, TX; stepdaughter, Andrea Bedell of Gainesville, TX; five grandchildren, Laycee Skaggs and husband, Jamie, Taylor Cravens and wife, Millie, Logan Cravens and wife, Paula, Brianna Tempel and husband, Justin, Bailey Bedell; eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in Jack's honor to the "Wish For A Child" children's charity through the local Eagles Lodge.

Jack thank you for all of the times we shared the precious memories of Sharon and Jerry we certainly had a lot of laughs and good memories so tell them hello for me. I will miss you so much so sorry I could not come today to say goodbye.Thank you for all your service helping to protect our country and your service helping keep Rockwall safe.you will be so missed by many family and friends RIP Sir
