Jack LaVere Schroader passed away on April 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of ingenuity, humor, and deep devotion to family. Born in Boise, Idaho, on January 11, 1944, Jack was named after his uncle, John LaVere Grow, and raised by his loving parents, Ruth and Herbert F. Schroader.
Jack grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and graduated from East High School in 1962 before serving a mission in Argentina. A man of relentless curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit, Jack lived a life filled with invention, creativity, and hustle. He owned and operated The Pizza Oven restaurant, a real estate company, and even a car dealership. But his true passion was innovation-he was always creating, always tinkering.
Jack's most treasured legacy, however, is his family and being Dabby. He is survived by his children: Corinne Schroader Woodward, husband Shawn, Chandie Schroader Nulph, husband Kelly and Dustin Schroader, wife Lindsey; his grandchildren: Destinee, Austin, McKenzee, Lexee, Sebastian, Kalie, MaKylee, Paisley, Blakely, Kyleigha, Chloe, Michael, and Derek; and his great-grandchildren: River, Ember, Cassius, Phoenix, Oshynn, Hazel, Goldie, Emma, and Denver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Herbert F. Schroader; his daughter, Cally Schroader; his siblings, Ron Schroader, Gary Schroader, LaRae Townsend, and Fred Schroader; and his grandson, Skyler Nulph.
Jack's life was full of laughter, invention, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. His ideas were bold, his jokes were classic, and his presence was unforgettable. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Funeral services will be held at Premier Funeral Service, located at 67 E. 8000 S., Midvale. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, April 24th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m.
