Leonard Schroader, a man whose life was a testament to resilience and achievement, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, in
Hendersonville, North Carolina, at the age of 92. Born on February 16, 1934, in
Nashville, Tennessee, he was the beloved son of the late Andrew B. Schroader and Clara Spire.
Leonard built a remarkable career marked by perseverance and dedication. His journey began with the successful growth of Schroader's Hatchery and Farm, a venture that laid the foundation for his later endeavors. In 1959, he acquired the Triumph Motorcycle Dealership, a bold step that showcased his entrepreneurial spirit. Together with his cherished wife, Catherine, Leonard went on to establish Schroader's Honda, a thriving business that continues to flourish under the stewardship of his son and grandsons.
A devoted father and grandfather, Leonard's legacy is carried on by his surviving family: his son, Terry Schroader, and daughter-in-law, Teresa Webb; his daughter, Vicki Schroader, and her husband, Roger Muchnick. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Tori Hope and her husband, Chris Steuber, Casey Schroader, Crystal Schroader, Jesse Schroader, and Courtney Schroader, as well as the late Trey Hope. His great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Corbin, Olivia, Penelope, Tripp, Grady, and Sophia, along with a great-great-grandchild, Trey, will continue to cherish his memory. Leonard is also survived by a sister, June Peterson of California, by his niece, Joanne Warren Cudra, and two nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Andrew B. Schroader and Clara Spire Schroader, his sisters Loenna Schroader Warren and June Schroader, and a brother Irvin Schroader. Leonard leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment, and perseverance that will endure through the lives of those he touched.
A funeral service to celebrate Leonard's life will be held on Monday, March 30th, at 2 p.m. In the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service. A private entombment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park's Mausoleum in Hendersonville. Leonard will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
