Jack passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the age of 75. While spending their yearly few months in Cancun Mexico for the winter, Jack fell ill to a chronic infection in his leg and ultimately succumbed to the infection. He peacefully passed away in a hospital in Ft Lauderdale, Florida with his family by his side.
Jack worked his entire life from high school to retirement at Master Lock where he made many friends over the years. His household motto "it's not how often you use it, it's when you need it you got it" was well known to his family and was evident by his packed garage...but he always had whatever tool was needed and was willing to help his family with anything, from mechanical problems, to home remodels, to driving the grandkids wherever whenever. He also loved fishing, buying stuff on Craigslist, mischievous shenanigans and spending the winters in Cancun where he and Diane built a wonderful network of snowbird friends at the Solymar. The way he lit up and laughed until he was wheezing when telling stories from the past, will be fondly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of 55 years, Diane; their children Peter (Annette) Skok, Brian (girlfriend Ann) Skok, Jody (Zach) Strnad; his grandchildren Amy, John, Jennelle, Adam, Megan and Trevor; his great-grandchildren Mya, Rayah and Kylah and his sister Nancy (Sam) Vitchar.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 15250 W. National Ave., New Berlin, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
