A Celebration of Life service for Jack Wayne Smith, 64, will be held at a later date.
Jack died on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming.
He was born Tuesday, February 7, 1961 in Harrison, Arkansas the son of George Homer and Dorothy Jean (Cunningham) Smith. Jack's parents were share croppers and the family moved often, living in Georgia, Arkansas, Michigan, Louisiana, and Florida. He moved to Wyoming in November, 1979 and operated a lawn service business for several years in Douglas. He than began working as truck driver, driving for Harold Link at Link Oil and more recently Homax Oil.
Jack's hobbies were fishing, camping, grilling, and doing mechanic work and restoring of cars with his son, Jacob. He was married to Marella Dell Michael on February 7, 1985 at the Converse County Court House in Douglas, Wyoming.
He is survived by his wife, Marella Smith; son, Jacob Smith both of Orin, Wyoming; sister, Judy Ann White of Fitzgerald, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mike Smith, David Smith, and Steve Smith; and sisters, Linda Miller and Susie Bussell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Cancer Society in care of the Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
