Jack Burton Stewart, a beloved father, brother and grandfather and teacher to many, departed this life on December 13, 2024, in South Bend, Indiana. Born on September 25, 1955, in Niles, Michigan, Jack's life was a testament to his determination and love for those he held dear. Jack was known for his strong will, which presented as a challenge at times, while also being the driving force behind his pursuit and achievement of a fruitful life.
Jack's childhood years of moving around the country with his military family were the foundation for a lifetime dedicated to building a beautiful, stable home and faithful, loving family, both of which were his greatest pride and joy. He accomplished his dreams through hard work and ambition, growing from a laborer to a manager, and eventually, the owner and operator of The Club Doctor, a renowned golf establishment. His passion for golf was rivaled only by his love for Bears football, music, and the joy of travel.
Jack's memory is lovingly honored by his daughters, Katrina Stewart of South Bend and Kerry Stewart of Kingston Springs, Tennessee; his steadfast sister, Lisa Lafebvre of Mishawaka; and his brother, Eric Stewart of Chula Vista, California. He rejoins his beloved parents, Jack B. Stewart and June R. Stewart, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the echo of a well-played guitar. Jack's light will continue to guide us on the fairways of our hearts.
No services will be held. Palmer Funeral Homes – River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.

Much sorrow when we heard of Jack's passing. We knew him as a father, friend, brother-in-law to Jon, golfer, and all round nice guy. We send our love and prayers to his family.
Fondly; Jon Vanderwall and Anne Denome

Today, the second anniversary of my beloved Father in law´s departure, I received the news of my old Best friend, Jack Stewart´s passing. Not the best of days.

I met Jack at his golf studio in 1999, and started taking lessons from him.
We quickly became friends and played a lot of golf throughout the years.
Jack was a very good friend, but, more than that, we could have brothers.

I remember all the times we shared meals together, and I was treated like part of the family.

We spent countless hours in his garage studio practicing our golf swings, or tinkering with clubs, changing them like the pros. We were crazy about the pursuit of golf excellence.

I'll miss beers with him on the back porch, reliving the round of the day and talking about scores we should've shot, watching the Masters or other events.

Jack had a gift on the guitar. He could've been a rock star if he wanted.
I will miss him playing Led Zeppelin or ZZ Top.

Like all real friends, Jack was there for me when my life was in turmoil. He gave me good advice and a stern talking to when I needed it. He drank beers with me and listened to my countless laments, without judgement.

I will repay the favor, being horribly absent when you needed me amigo, when I see you on the other side.

So sorry to get this news. I will miss my good friend and golf buddy. We shared a lot of great memories and maybe twice as many beers together. He was always there for me, especially in the tough times. We lost touch when I moved to Spain, sadly. But, I will always remember him as a brother and someone I could count on. A sad day for all of us.
