Jack L. Vivian, 82, of Blooming Valley, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022 following complications from a stroke and Lewy Body Dementia.
He was born February 14, 1940 in Meadville, a son of Joseph P. and Virginia McCartney Vivian. He married Connie Dengler October 12, 1973.
Jack was a 1958 graduate of Saegertown High School and worked for Crawford County for 42 years. He was a lifetime member of Blooming Valley Fire Department and served as Blooming Valley Borough mayor for 30 years. Jack enjoyed camping, auto racing, "the farm", and wintering in Florida.
He was a member of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Connie, include a son, Jeff Vivian (Annette) of Saxonburg; a daughter, Carrie Webster of Pen Argyl; three grandsons, Jacob, Benjamin, and Levi; a brother, Joseph Vivian (Marsha) of Blooming Valley; a sister, Linda Chatley (Thomas) of Guys Mills; a brother-in-law, Robert Bravinder (Sandy) of York; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Beverly Bravinder.
Calling hours will be Friday, November 4th from 4-7 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.
The funeral service will be private with interment in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
