Jack W. Vought, 22, passed away June 13, 2025. He was born in Akron to Nancy and Terry Vought, was a 2021 Firestone High School graduate.

Jack was a member of Wedgewood United Methodist Church and worked as a locksmith for A-AbraCadabra. He was scheduled to report to Ft. Benning, GA on Tuesday, June 17 to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a United States Soldier.

Jack could talk for hours about military history, music, guns and U of M football. He enjoyed fishing, shooting and tinkering with cars, especially his 1986 Fiero.

Jack will be deeply missed by his parents, Terry and Nancy Vought; grandmother, Patricia Leonard-Kirshner; his beloved canine buddy Frankie; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 1 – 4 p.m. at Wedgewood United Methodist Church, 2350 Wedgewood Drive, Akron, OH 44305. The funeral service will be at church on Monday, June 23 at 1 p.m. with calling hours one hour prior to the service, from 12 – 1 p.m. Burial at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
