Jack Wilmot Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 25, 2025.
Jack Wilmot Jr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 9:50 pm. He was born February 26, 1962 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was the brother of Terri Wilmot Smith and Tina Wilmot Harger, and son of Edna MacGowan Wilmot and Jack Wilmot Sr. He enlisted in the Unites States Navy and served with a U.S. Military Joint Command in South Korea in the 1980s. After settling in Washington D.C., he met his future wife Doris Walter. Jack was a faithful member of the Living Church of God. He loved his family, talking with people about the Kingdom of God and about God's word. He was an ardent student of history, verbal communication, God's creation, and football. He is survived by his beloved wife Doris Wilmot, his stepdaughter Jeanne, his grandchildren Joshua and Alison Campbell, (who know him as "Papa Jack"), and his two sisters Terri Wilmot Smith and Tina Wilmot Harger. We are grateful for our time with this amazing, special man on this earth. We appreciate your prayers and condolences.

Jack was a good friend and a faithful member of our church. I saw him again after many years this past October. He will be deeply missed. I look forward to seeing him again in the Kingdom of God.
