Jackie "Jack" Plummer Day, 85, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. His wishes were to be cremated, no services scheduled at this time. Inurnment will take place in Olathe Memorial Cemetery.

Jack was born on August 26, 1940, in Celt, Missouri, to Daniel and Edith (Wilson) Day. He grew up in the towns of Tonganoxie and Olathe, KS. He embodied a spirit of kindness and resilience that touched everyone he encountered. Jack proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from February 1960, until his discharge in July 1964. His dedication to service and commitment to his country defined much of his life. After returning home, Jack joined Ceva, a logistics company in Lenexa, KS, where he worked diligently as a warehouse worker for over 20 years, retiring in 2011. His work ethic and reliability were appreciated by colleagues and friends alike, leaving a lasting impact in the workplace. A member of the First Christian Church of Olathe, Jack found strength and purpose within his faith community.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Wanda Jennings; his wife, Bernice Day; his brothers: Don Day, Bob Day, and Wayne Day; and his daughters: Jodi Jenkins and Linda Smith. He is survived by his son, Keith Day, of Lawrence, KS; his step-daughter, Candi (David) Scavuzzo, of Harrisonville, MO; his son-in-law, Dan Smith; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jackie's warm spirit, gentle demeanor, and unwavering love for his family will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
