Jackie M. Garrow

Jacqueline M. "Jackie" (Lawyer) Garrow of Malone, passed away on September 8, 2025 with her family by her side after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on September 16, 2025 at St. Isadore's Church in Montgomery Center, Vermont with Rev. Daniel Jordan officiating. All are welcome to food and fellowship at St. Isadore parish hall following. Burial will be held privately at Hill West Cemetery in West Hill, Vermont. The Garrow family has put the trust of their loved one in the care of the Frary Funeral Home, Malone.

Jackie was born on July 18, 1961 to the late Jack and Dorothy (Dudley) Lawyer in Burlington, Vermont. She attended Montgomery and Richford schools growing up. Jackie had a love for children all her life and so she started a day care in her own home all while taking care of her own. Jackie married Robert Garrow on July 30, 1988 in East Berkshire, Vermont. Together along with their children they made the move to Malone where they purchased a dairy farm. Jackie, with the loving drive to care for babies became the primary caregiver for the calves all the while taking care of their own children and her day care kids. She did this until they sold the farm.

Jackie loved to party with friends and family, watch birds, scroll through Facebook, watch movies and read. She also loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved to go and cheer on her grandchildren at their sporting events.

Jackie loved her family dearly and will be missed by her husband of 37 years, Robert Garrow, her children; Jeremy (Tonya) Brunton, Shannon Brunton (Kristin Drown), Alison Garrow (KeAndre Sadler), and Christopher Garrow (Kaitlyn Mroczka), her brothers; Michael (Kelli Peters) Lawyer, Jeffery (Kim) Lawyer, and Lyman (Carla) Lawyer, sisters; Connie (Earl) Curtis, Donna (Jim) Casavant, and Candy (Steve) Combs, her grandchildren; Brittany (Matt), Jasmine (Hunter), Troy (Hannah), Hayden, Jackson, Avalynn, and Genevieve, her first great grandchild Ledger to arrive in the upcoming weeks, and a very special niece that was more like a sister Lisa Maskell . She is predeceased by her parents Jack and Dororthy Lawyer. her brother and sister-in-law Ronald (Joan) Lawyer, sister-in-law's; Alison Lawyer and Lori Lawyer.

The family would like to thank North Country Hospice, the caring staff of the Alice Hyde Cancer Center, Dr. Sanchez and her staff for the care, love, and support through Jackie's courageous battle.
