Jackie Lynn "Jack" Gibson

Jackie "Jack" Lynn Gibson, 77 of Marlinton passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Pocahontas Center in Marlinton. Jack was born July 20, 1949, in Marlinton, and was a son of James Harlan and Marie Clara Harsh Gibson. He was also preceded in death by his wife Janice Faye Gibson, brother, James Allen Gibson, and a nephew, Jamie Allen Gibson.

Jack was a US Vietnam Army Veteran, lift operator, and mechanic for Snowshoe Mountain Resort.

Jack is survived by daughters, Jacklynn Gibson of Morgantown, and Stephanie Browning of Huntington, sons, Jeramy Gibson, Matt Gibson, and Mike Gibson all of Marlinton. eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and two sisters, Karen Weatherholt, and Barbara Lane both of Marlinton.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2028 at Gibson Cemetery at Slatyfork. Burial will follow with Military graveside services.
