Jack D. Heim, 89, of Sunbury, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Nursing and Rehab at the Mansion in Sunbury.

He was born in Shamokin, Nov. 21, 1935, the son of the late Epbert Heim and Cora (Zimmerman) Heim.

He graduated from Coal Township high school.

He married the late Doreen A. Straub, March 26, 1955.

Jack had many jobs over the years including delivering milk locally and in the city of Philadelphia. He was a union carpenter and later owned his own construction business.

He was a member of Stonington Baptist Church and Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, in Sunbury. He was a man of great faith, serving the Lord as a Sunday school teacher, deacon and including working at Victory Valley Church Camp.

Jack was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed all things Native American, collecting arrowheads and studying the culture. Later in life, he learned how to craft tinware that he sold at craft shows all over the East Coast. He also made reproductions for various historical societies and museums.

He is survived by a sister, Stephanie Wiseman(William); brother Epbert Heim(Carol); his children, Eric Heim and his wife, Tina, Brenda Fultz and son-in-law, Chuck, Brian Heim and his wife, Anna, and Mark Heim; his grandchildren, Jason Heim and wife Tara, Melissa Barnes, Megan Fultz, Stephanie Fultz, Skyler Fultz and wife, Megan, and Jonathan Heim; his great-grandchildren, Justin and his wife, Kadye, Cloey, Conner, Samson, Caleb and Eli; and his great-great-grandchildren, Alyiah, Havyn, and Violet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Vera Heim, and his son, Daniel.

Services will be held Saturday August 16, 2025 at Stonington Baptist Church, 2113 Hosta Rd., Paxinos, PA 17860. Visitation starts at 10am; service at 11am with a luncheon following. A private graveyard service will be held at a later date for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stonington Baptist Missionary Fund.
