Mr. Jackie L. Luna, 81, Jefferson City, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 at Heisinger Bluffs West. He was born October 12, 1943 in Fortuna, Missouri to the late Fred and Elsie (Woody) Luna. On November 16, 1963 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Thomason who survives.

Jack was a graduate of Tipton High School. He worked for Fischer Pool Table Co. in Tipton and Playmaster Pool Table in Columbia before making a career as a painter, first for Goldammer Construction of Jefferson City and later as an independent painter before retiring.

Jack enjoyed woodworking, gardening, taking care of his lawn and earlier in life, Sunday drives, riding his motorcycle, going to the creek and hunting morels. Jack could make most anything, from skateboards and ramps to wooden ducks to fine furniture. He often gifted what he produced to family and friends. Jack cared deeply for his wife Carolyn and their family. He will be remembered for his kindness and compassion.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Carolyn S. Luna; sons: Jeff Luna (Kathy) of St. Louis, Brad Luna of Jefferson City; granddaughters: Erin Luna and Claire Luna, both of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Elsie Luna and sisters: Donna Moon and Deloris Jones.

Private interment was in Riverview Cemetery.
